Park VS Hold
Hold - locking a call into that specific phone station and it cannot be picked up from any other phone within the building. Press the “hold” button to put the call on hold.
Park - the same function as a hold but the call can be picked up from any other phone within the building. A virtual parking lot for calls. Press the “Park” button to place the call in the parking lot. Press the same “Park” button you used to pick up the call from the parking lot.
On Desktop phones, you will be able to identify parked calls, as the Park position will have a red flashing indicator. Cordless phones do not readily indicate where Parked calls are in the “parking lot.”
